Shiela Owens, LLPC, MA, MHT

Shiela has commissioned her passion to dedicating over 20 years of her life working with women, men, and young adolescence from all walks of society who have had substance use and/or mental health situations.  Shiela’s undergraduate degree is in International Administrative Business and Marketing.  Shiela has a master’s in Mental Health Therapy from Siena Heights Catholic University, and she also received her master’s in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University, with a Marriage and Family Therapy cognate.  Shiela had the honors to go global and visit several underprivileged third-world locations across the world, including Africa, Jamaica, and Guatemala, to partner alongside others to build water systems, bring in supplies, and provide mental health and social economic guidance to equip the people in those regions so they would be able to better serve their communities.  Those opportunities led to Shiela going back to school and becoming a licensed Mental Health Therapist, and launching her own private nonprofit therapy business, S.L.O.M. (Sharing the Lives of Many).  Shiela’s pastimes consist of traveling, spending time with her eight grandchildren, and writing and producing her own stage plays.
