Unfortunately, there is no absolute cure for depression, yet. However, even the most severe cases of depression are treatable. Learning about your particular type of depression through clinical consultation can help you understand your symptoms and any possible underlying causes for what you may be experiencing. Medication as well as beneficial life changes can aid in the treatment of depression, including developing restful sleep patterns, increasing exercise, improving nutrition, establishing a strong support network, and finding ways to reduce/eliminate stress. Your mental health professional can help determine the most effective treatments for long-lasting relief from depression.
