The Transitional Living and Learning Center (TLLC) is a social mentoring program with a strong emphasis on educational and life skills development. The TLLC is designed to assist young adults in reaching their full potential. We offer a safe place where students learn and practice new skills and apply them in the real world.
The program is designed to help guide our students toward more independent and productive living, while at the same time building coping skills necessary to handle adversity and life stressors that are sure to occur. Our goal is to build skills and patterns of successful, healthy living that are transferable to any setting, anywhere. In doing so our students will experience the freedom and confidence to become self sufficient and productive in whatever they pursue post TLLC.
TLLC’s program revolves around providing a comprehensive Skills Building Curriculum in several key life domains: |

- Regularly scheduled team meeting with family members to assist with life management planning
All students enrolled in the TLLC are required to be enrolled in college (or in the process of enrolling) or working within the community (or in the process of looking for work). All students are also required to participate in volunteer or community services activities, which build a strong foundation to becoming socially responsible citizens and good neighbors.
The TLLC is not staffed 24/7. Students live independently in a TLLC apartment near the center or in their own local apartment or home. Staff will provide personal coaching to assist student with learning how to maintain their living environment.

Supported Treatment Housing
Many clients with cognitive and emotional deficits progress enough to not need residential treatment, but still require support to live successfully within the community. Our supported housing services provide social, housing and life skills supports to clients living in their own residences, and not in licensed treatment facilities. Our staff assists clients in finding and securing appropriate housing. This support provided protects individual dignity, promotes confidence and builds patterns of functional and healthy living. |
